“Encourage one another and build one another up.”
I Thessalonians 5:11

Stephen Ministry is a program that equips lay persons in our congregation to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those experiencing all kinds of life needs, both in our congregation and in the community. Stephen Ministry works in conjunction with the pastor to help a person talk through crises in his or her life. You might consider receiving a Stephen Minister if you have been hospitalized, terminally ill, grieving a death or loss, having a job crisis, facing a life transition or dealing with aging and the elderly. Stephen Ministers have received 50 hours of initial training in important caring ministry skills. They visit another person regularly and offer Christian support and care. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance during the caring relationship. Stephen Ministers participate in regular support and supervision to give the best possible care. This is a vital ministry in our church that enables our entire congregation to grow as a warm, loving , nurturing community where people are cherished.
