Bellamy’s United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women’s Purpose is as follows:
The organized unit of UNITED METHODIST WOMEN shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The United Methodist Women of Bellamy Church consists of two groups of ladies who together form the Bellamy Unit. The meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at 7 P.M. for the Virginia Robins Circle, and the second Thursday of each month at 1:30 P.M. for the Fannie Robinson-Lola Bland Circle. Our Bellamy UMW is a vibrant and enthusiastic group who support missions at the local, state, national, and international level. We invite all women of the church to become members of our UMW and pray that you may want to join us. There is a place for you!

What’s Happening
1. The UMW had a very successful Chick-fil-A evening event, a “Leap of Faith” night on Feb.29th. Thanks to so many in our church that supported this first-time event! Proceeds go to support local and other mission projects.
2. The UMW will have a Bake Sale and Raffle in conjunction with the UMM’s Yard Sale on Saturday, May 19th. Baked goods accepted from members or non-members and will be for sale on May 19th. Items should be brought to church for the Bake Sale on Fri., May 18th—anything that does not need to be kept cool. The Raffle will be for a Family Vacation Basket with all kinds of “goodies” for a fun-filled vacation! $1.00 per ticket! All donations for the Basket Raffle should be turned in by May 10th. Drawing for the winning ticket will be held Sunday, May 20th following the 11:00 A.M. Worship service. All proceeds benefit UMW mission projects.
3. UMW members are serving as Greeters for the month of April at both Worship services.
4. MAY 13th— MOTHER’S DAY BULLETIN–The UMW has its annual Honoring of Mothers where anyone can give a donation and have his/her mother’s name put into this special bulletin. This can be in honor of or in memory of mothers, sisters, grandmothers, etc. All donations benefit UMW missions.
5. Reminder—Kits for United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) are to be completed and turned into church/Cindy Meier by June 17th (Father’s Day).
Types of kits include Health, School, Baby/Layette, and Birthing kits.
6. UMW Unit Picnic will be held at 11:30 A.M. at the church June 21st in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a covered dish and join the fun and fellowship
